A wife of fifty six years, and mother of five children, a passionate traveler with an unquenchable curiosity, Lila Pierce Foster Moss was a beautiful woman without pretensions. Lila loved meeting new people, and she loved keeping in touch. She was as enthusiastic about her bowling leagues and tending her roses as she was about traveling the world. She made friends wherever she went, and she never forgot a person or an experience in her lifelong adventure. Lila lived fully during all hours of the day and night, and she was likely to propose an outing when mere mortals were ready to call it a day. Her laugh was unforgettable to anyone who has ever heard it-a robust explosion of delight that came from somewhere inside her that mined joy from ordinary moments. It was impossible to hear her laugh and not want to laugh along with her. As the wife of Glenn, she was a loyal and loving partner who took hard times and the good life as part of life itself. To her kids she was simply the best Mom in the world. Missing her every day are her husband Glenn, and her children John, Glenn Jr., Greg, Deborah and Jeff. Lila made each of her fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren feel special every time she was them. We will be remembering Lila at Rice Mortuary in Torrance on Monday, March 13, 2006 at 12:00 P.M.
