Linda Joyce Wills entered into this world on October 19, 1951, to parents Everett LaGrone and Audrey Lee Wills (ne' Metcalf) in Shreveport Louisiana. At the age of 2, the family moved to Los Angeles California, where Lynn and sibling Charles lived for 14 years, welcoming five more sisters, before settling down on 157th Street in Gardena.
Lynn attended 66th St. Elementary and Jr. High School in Los Angeles, entering Manual Arts High before transferring and graduating Gardena High, where she participated in modern dance, before Graduating in 1969. Lynn attended Trade Tech, receiving her AA in Business Administration. She worked as a secretary at Compton College where she met her eventual first Husband, James Singleton, whom she married in 1976, and with whom she had two sons. While she worked several jobs prior, in 1980 Lynn began her career with SoCalGas, which spanned almost 36 years.
Lynn was known for her love of Bowling, being in leagues for many years and attending to support second husband Alvin Washington, whom she married May 20, 1996, when she no longer could bowl herself. She also loved to travel, and did so as often as she could throughout her life.
She was a devoted Mother, raising her two boys along with James and Alvin, and was notorious for bragging on them (which they both attributed to a great upbringing). She was fiercely loyal to her family and friends, and as generous a human being as existed, which she often showed through her second love, shopping! She was a mother to all she met, as all of her "babies" will testify to.
Linda Wills-Washington left her loved ones when the Lord called her Home on August 26, 2021 after a short fight with Covid. She was preceded in death by both parents. She leaves behind her husband of 25 years, Alvin LaFayette Washington, brother Charles Prentiss (Patricia), five sisters- Sharon "Shea" Wills, Monica Wills, Luerendia "Wennie" Scott (Anthony), Arnita Wills, and Arlett Wills (Andre Smith), two sons- Kito Singleton and Zakee Singleton, and many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews, friends, loved ones, and all of her many, many "babies". And while her corporeal form is no more, she leaves us all with her love, kindness, and countless joyous memories of the time she blessed us with her presence.
