Lloyd Edward Hall

Lloyd is survived by his wife, the love of his life, Barbara, to whom he was married for 68 years, and their children Mark (Lynette) and Therese (Gerry) and their five grandchildren - Ryan (Jaime), Erin (Jonathon), Brett (Christy), Sarah and Adam, and nine great grandchildren - Gage, Remy, Andrew, Olivia, Blythe, Kyla, Whit, Elyse and Bennett. He was preceded in death by his son Chris and grandson John.

Lloyd was born in Tucson, Arizona. His parents, Frank and Grace, moved with him and his brothers, Lyman and Norman, to Hermosa/Manhattan Beach when he was 6. He graduated from Redondo Union High School and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in WWII. Upon his discharge he attended El Camino College and Dental School at USC. He practiced general dentistry/oral surgery in Hermosa Beach for 32 years, and was honored for excellence with a fellowship by the Academy of General Dentistry, in Washington DC, in 1974.

During his working years he was very active in Rotary Club in Hermosa and served as its president in 1962. He and Barbara were founding members of St. Lawrence Martyr Parish where they have been very devoted and generous.

Lloyd was an avid golfer and long-time member of Palos Verdes Golf Club where he was club champion in 1980 and 1989. At the time of his death, he was the longest active member at the Club.

He was devoted to his wife, family, and many friends. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
