Hansen, Lloyd M., a 52 year resident of the South Bay, died peacefully in his sleep surrounded by family, as he wished, on Friday, May 28, 2010. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, Lloyd was 90 when he died. Lloyd served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Redondo Beach, and worked at North American Rockwell (formerly North American Aviation) for more than 25 years.
Lloyd is survived by his six daughters: Frances (John) Castle; Christine Siegel; Catherine (John) Corkill; Patricia (Dean) Zamloch; Mary (Al) Simone; and Jane (Justin) Gervais; and his grandchildren: Erika, Andrew, Matthew, Mia, Nicolas, Ryan, Allison and Nathan. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years, Ileene.
A Rosary will be said at Rice Mortuary in Torrance on Thursday June 3, 2010 at 7 pm. The Memorial Service will be held the following day at 10am, followed by a Reception in the Rice Lighthouse Room until 1pm. Private interment will follow at Pacific Crest Cemetery in Redondo Beach.
