July 27, 1925 – May 7, 2008
Loretta had an iron will and believed there's no entitlement, just work hard and be honest. Her integrity graced the lives of everyone she knew. She was born in Maine, moved to Connecticut, and lived independently at an early age. She married, and like other World War II wives, worked in a factory building aircraft parts. Throughout her first marriage she worked hard jobs, waitress, factory, assembly. After moving to Torrance in 1959 and later her second marriage to Joseph Lopez, she became a full-time homemaker. She loved playing cards, taught her children to play cribbage so she could "skunk" them, played pinochle at the Senior Centers and loved to win. She had a wide circle of family and friends from her involvement with PTA, soccer, neighborhood activities, especially enjoying her special outings with her friends.
Loretta was preceded in death by her second husband: Joseph, son: Robert Bresnan, and sister: Pauline, and special friend: Ria.
We will miss her dearly: Children: (Kathy, daughter-in-law), Carla (Henry), Roger, Remi, Rory (Chie), Tina (Vance); Grandchildren: Travis (Judy), Zachary (Lisa), Justine (Mark), Briana, Morgan, Jason, Michelle, Ryan, Joseph, Zoe; Great Grandchildren: Neil, Alexander, Nicolas, Tristen, Parker, Lucas.
