Buchanan, Margaret Mary a 40 year resident of Santa Monica passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2003 in Torrance. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan August 23, 1915, Margaret was 87. She had been a pianist working with the Los Angeles City Recreation and Parks Department for over 25 years. Margaret had been a longtime parishoner at St. Monica's in Santa Monica. She is survived by her daughter Mary Dillon of Manhattan Beach; son David Buchanan of San Francisco; daughter Julie Buchanan of West Los Angeles; and son Donald Buchanan of Burbank; along with nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 26 at 10:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church, 415 Vincent Street in Redondo Beach. Private burial will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City.
