Margaret Alice Blanco Horibe-Duarte June 10, 1934 – January 21, 2026 Our faithful Mother, Grandma Chula, true friend, not so distant Relative, unexpectedly moved to Eternity on January 21, 2026, at 6:50am. Margaret had a loving, brilliant, dynamic, and strong life for over 91.6 years. Born on June 10, 1934 in Phoenix Arizona, daughter of Sam Blanco and Faustina Le Chuga, she spent childhood during 1950s Los Angeles, then residing in Torrance since early 1960s. She loved her huge family of five boys and two girls, because they brought husbands, wives, grandchildren, and more friends! She loved attending must-social events, graduations, celebrations, weddings, anniversaries, and her all-time favorite, Your Birthday, mom mastered at making you feel special. Her dedicated Church and Charitable Donations went beyond the superficial but special Awards and public accolades she received throughout her life. Margaret surrounded herself with cherished conversations, laughter, wigs, makeup, costumes, music, dancing and introduced herself to anyone in public. There wasn’t a person in the room she did not want to know, because she wanted to know you and your heart. Her children, grandchildren, family and friends lovingly live her legacy this side of Heaven, as she lovingly waits for all of us, with our Hideo, William, Dad, and Desi in Heaven.
