Maria Luisa Lastrapes (Topete) born February 26, 1937 in Michoacan, Mexico passed on October 30, 2012 at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance, California. Maria came to California from Mexico in 1966. Maria is survived by her husband Thomas B. Lastrapes, four step children and several nieces and nephews. Maria was pre-deceased by her son Albert Garcia and her brother Jesus Topete. Visitation will be November 6, 2012 from 4 – 8 with rosary prayer at 7:00 p.m. at Halverson, Stone & Myers Mortuary Chapel 1223 Cravens Avenue, Torrance, CA 90501. A funeral mass will be held on November 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 244 Prospect Avenue, Hermosa Beach, CA.
