Marjorie Ann Nemitz, a 59-year Torrance resident.
Marjorie Ann Smith born on June 26, 1933 in San Pedro, California, died August 15, 2009 at home surrounded by her beloved family. She attended Banning and Big Bear High Schools. She served as a 4-H Leader, shared her love for raising animals with her children, and dedicated her life to tutoring adults and children.
She was preceded by her husband Arnold Wayne Nemitz. She is survived by her three daughters: Alice Nemitz of Post Falls, Idaho; Dorotha Nemitz-Hargrove (Franklin Hargrove) of Huntington Beach; and DarLynn Nemitz of Torrance; four sons: Chuck (Laurianne), Duke, and Ladd, all of Torrance; Wayne of Palm Springs; her brother, Ted V. Smith of Cathedral City; 12 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private. White & Day Colonial Chapel, Redondo Beach, is in charge of arrangements.
