It is difficult at such a time to find the words that say the things that one can only hope will comfort you today, But may it help a bit to know that there are near at hand those who keep you close in thought, those who understand. With deepest sympathy. May the grace of the Lord comfort you.

We are very sorry for your loss.  Martin was a genuinely kindhearted person and was always full of life.  My mother loved having him as a neighbor.  He had a big heart and always greeted everyone with a smile.  Although he is in a better place now, he will be greatly missed by all his neighbors.  You are all in our prayers.          This is on behalf of Sue Uini and the family.

My family moved right around the corner from Martin's family in 1974, although I first met Martin in 1969 in our Kindergarten class.  It's always nice to have such great neighbors, especially ones that have been just that for almost 40 years!  Juanita & Jessie and the whole family have always been there for me whether it is to check up on my parents or just to wave "hello".  I often ran into Martin over the years whether he was "crashing" at his parents or I was "crashing" one of their parties, and they were always a blast!  Martin was always asking me how my "pops" was doing since my mom passed away. My dad was very fond of him too.  Apparently they bonded at an elementary school field trip years ago!  Martin & I always joked around about having kids together since neither of us ever became parents, I don't know who was more serious!  As one of my favorite songs says: "Meet me Jesus meet me, meet me in the middle of the end, if my wings should fail me lord, please meet me with another pair".  You will always be in my heart Martin. Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow, but remember me in every tomorrow. Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles, I've only gone to rest a little while. Although my leaving causes pain and grief,my going has eased my hurt and given me relief. So dry your eyes and remember me, not as I am now, but as I used to be. Because, I will remember you all and look on with a smile. Understand, in your hearts, I've only gone to rest a little while.  As long as I have the love of each of you, I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.    ~ Martin, Thank-you for sending me my sister I always wish for as a child! RIP Martin, I've often thought about you and asked people where you were or how to get a hold of you. You were my boyfriend in high school and my friend long after. I smile when I think of some of the crazy things we did like donuts on the football field during senior year graduation. I still have the Raider's poster you had signed by them and  gave to my son Robert, when he was only about 4yrs old and will treasure it alway's. I told him so much about you and would of loved for you two to meet now that he's 25. "Thank you", you will forever hold a very very special place in my heart.      Juanita, Jessie, Christina, Mickey and Edgar, I'm so sorry my heart aches for all of you. My prayer's and thoughts go out to you. Please know I have never forgotten Martin. Some how he alway's came up in a conversation about something good he did one way or another. We will miss him, I'm truely, truely sorry....

So very sad to get the news and so sorry for your loss. I don't know the last time I saw Martin (we were in high school together), but all I picture is a sweet happy guy with an amazing smile.

Martin was my best friend, as children growing up in Redondo Beach.  We played AYSO together at age 7, when AYSO first started in the Southbay.        We ended up going to JR High and ending up playing football together at Aviation High school.        I'm so sorry to hear the news of his passing.  My thoughts to the family, Ive know them for years, I'm so sorry.

RIP Martin.  I remember you from high school as always being so kind.
