
Phelps, Marvin Lee a 45 year resident of Torrance, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2005 in St. John’s Hospital, Santa Monica. Born in Davenport, Iowa, Marvin was 70 when he died. Marvin had served in the Navy during The Korean War, 10/1953 - 11/1955. Marvin was a Gov. Auditor, DCAA. His personal interests include christianity. His hobbies were playing the guitar, music, board games and fishing. Marvin was passionate about his love for Jesus Christ our Lord. He is survived by Daughter, Kim Phelps of Lawndale, CA, Daughter, Deborah Phelps of Lomita, CA, Daughter, Terry Phelps of Lawndale, CA, Sister, Darlyene Shipman, Sister, Juanita Claussen, Brother-in-law, Jerry Claussen, Caregiver and Mother of his children, Justine Phelps, Grandchild, Amber Fields, Grandchild, Logan Fields, Grandchild, Danielle Phelps, Grandchild, Teryn Phelps, Grandchild, Justin Phelps, Grandchild, Jamel Aboujrass and Great Grandchild, Jazmin Burns. Preceded in death by: Mother, Bessie Phelps, Father, Ralph Phelps, Daughter, Laura Phelps and Brother, Ralph Phelps. Visitation will be held at White & Day Colonial Chapel on Thursday, April 21, 2005 from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. The Service will be at White & Day Colonial Chapel on Friday, April 22, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Ranch Palos Verdes.
