PLAKOS, NICKOLAS J., Born in Los Angeles on July 19, 1918, and resident of Torrance, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2002. He is the beloved husband of Angelina Plakos, devoted father of Jim (Gail) Plakos of San Bruno, CA and Christine (Mrs. Phil) Velderrain of Palos Verdes, CA, brother of Basil Plakos of Downey, CA, and John Plakos of Orange, CA. Also left to mourn his passing are his blessed grandchildren; Kathleen Traina, Nicole Carroll and Danielle Plakos. Trisagion services will be on Sunday, July 7, 2002 at 7:00 PM at WHITE & DAY COLONIAL CHAPEL, 901 W. Torrance Blvd. (at Prospect Avenue), Redondo Beach, CA 90277. Funeral services will be held at St. Katherine Greek Eastern Orthodox Church, 722 Knob Hill, Redondo Beach, CA 90277 on Monday, July 8, 2002 at 10:30 AM.
