
Patricia Jean Yamamoto, 66, of Palm Desert, California, passed away at UCLA Medical Center on December 1, 2007. Mrs. Yamamoto was a beloved mother, grandmother, and wife, and proud of all those roles. A native of Dayton, OH, Mrs. Yamamoto moved to Westchester in 1969 after marrying her husband Gerrick, until their relocation to Palm Desert 9 years ago. As her children grew, she dedicated time to their interests through involvement in Little League, Scouting, and school PTAs in Westchester. In recent years, her life at Oasis Country Club in Palm Desert has been filled with the joy of her family and friends.
A celebration of Patricia's life will be held in a memorial service on Thursday, December 6, at 2 pm, at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Boulevard, with a reception for friends and family to follow. Interment of Patricia's ashes will be at Diamondhead Memorial Park, in Honolulu, HI.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 38 years, Gerrick Yamamoto, of Palm Desert; mother, Hattie Mae Young, of Brookville, OH; children Mary Livingston, of Las Vegas, NV, Connie Hurley, of Torrance, Dan Hurley, of Honolulu, HI, and Herb Hurley, of Glendale; siblings Donnie Young, of National City, OH, Jim Young, of National City, OH, and Shirley Lindsey, of Engelwood, OH; and thirteen grandchildren.
