Paul "Artie" Gomez lifelong resident of Redondo Beach peacefully passed away with his wife and family by his side on July 19, 2010 at the age of 67. Artie will be forever and lovingly remembered by his wife Virginia of 33 years and his five daughters Carmen Bouchard, Tina Butler, Yolanda White, Rena Johnson and Andrea Gomez and their families. He was the proud grandpa of ten grandchildren. Artie is survived by four siblings Josie Alba, Raymond "Hozie" Gomez, Luisa Ruiz and Lupe Saucedo and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Artie retired after 45 years at Hozie's Radiator Service but worked part time at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center. He was an avid Dodger fan and enjoyed going to car shows and attending his grandkids sporting events, but most of all he enjoyed cooking for and spending time with his family. The Vigil Service will be held in the Chapel at Rice Mortuary on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 6:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 10:00 AM in Rice's Chapel. A reception will follow until 1:00 PM.
