Philip Felix Mendoza

Philip Felix Mendoza, age 79 passed away peacefully on October 12, 2021 at 3:05 a.m. at Torrance Memorial Hospital. He was born in 1942 in Torrance, California to Felipe and Theresa (Boltares) Mendoza. He lived in Gardena all his life. He was married to Josephine Mendoza for 62 wonderful years.

Philip was a spiritual individual, observant of his Catholic faith. He worked in the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration field and was admired by his co-workers. Philip truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures: camping, hunting, dirt bike riding and spending time with his family, treating them to his cooking especially his barbequing expertise and hosting all holidays and major sports events (The Superbowl).

He is survived by his wife, Josephine, his children, Denise, Darlene, Arlene, Rebekah Joy, and Regina; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; three siblings; predeceased are three sisters, his daughter Phyllis and one granddaughter. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family, friends and others whose lives Philip touched are invited to attend his memorial services to reminisce, grieve, support each other and of course just chat.
