Longtime Torrance resident, Ralph Leon Potter, passed away August 2, 2016. Ralph was born July 18, 1923 in Pritchard, Alabama to Benjamin and Bertha Potter. Ralph is predeceased by his wife, Edna. He is survived by his son, Gary Potter; daughter, Norma Potter Beatty; daughter-in-law, Kathy Slavens Potter; son-in-law, Douglas Beatty; grandchildren, Emily Rodriguez, Megan Madera, Allison Suyama, and Morgan Beatty Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Kaila, Maylen, Christian, Ryan, Ava, Wyatt, Hunter, Jackson, Parker, and Maverick. Special thanks to his caretaker, Cathy Ramos who made his final days enjoyable. Services will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Torrance First Baptist Church in Torrance with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills.
