
WURM, RICHARD A. a 54 year resident of the South Bay (Redondo Beach) , passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2002. He was born November 29, 1920 in Tiffin, OH and was a United States Air Force veteran of both WW II and the Korean War. Dick was an very active member of St. James Catholic Church in Redondo Beach where he was a eucharistic minister for over 10 years and was involved in activities ranging from visiting the ill and shut-in to counting the church collections. He was a member of and held many different offices in, the Knights of Columbus, Los Crusados Council, #1990 in Redondo Beach. Survivors include his sons; Pat Wurm of Hawthorne, CA, Frank Wurm of Redondo Beach and Ray Wurm of Huntington Beach, CA. Dick was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mildred D. Wurm and his blessed daughter, Susan Marie Wurm. Also left to mourn his passing are his grandchildren; Alexandria, Chelsea and Ian Wurm. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 21, 2002 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at WHITE & DAY COLONIAL MORTUARY, 901 W. Torrance Blvd. (at Prospect Ave). Vigil service and rosary recitation will be the same evening at 7PM...also at White & Day Colonial Chapel. Celebration of Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, August 22, 2002 at 12 noon at St. James Catholic Church, 415 Vincent St. (at Pac. Coast Hwy), Redondo Beach, CA, 90277. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Culver City, CA.
