Robert Allen Bodkin

Born February 4, 1951 in Redondo Beach, CA, lost his battle to cancer September 25, 2007.at the age of 56. A life long resident of the South Bay. Robert was in the United States Army for 33 years. As a civilian, Robert was employed by Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The Veteran is survived by his loving Wife, Maria Bodkin. Daughters, Jennifer Dominguez and Norma Velazquez. Sons, Carlos and Alex Velazquez. Brothers, Jim, Andy and Tommy Bodkin. Sisters, Betty Perea, Debbie Aquino, Corina Weatherman, and Sarah Lopez. 9 beautiful grandchildren: Christina and Ariana Dominguez, Joseph Vilchis, Melissa, Ceasar, Mauricio, Daniel, Monica, and Marisol Velazquez; and numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his Father, James Bodkin, Mother, Simone Bodkin, and Brother, Richard Bodkin. Robert had a passion for Eagles and The American Flag. Robert was a loving husband and father. He will be missed by his family and many friends.

A gathering of family & friends will be held at Rice Mortuary Chapel in Torrance on Monday October 1, 2007 from 5 to 8:30pm with a Vigil service at 7pm.
