In the shade of our driveway, 'neath the open sky, Papi and I, under cars, dreams would multiply. Wrenches and sockets, a symphony of clinks, He taught me to fix, to tinker, to think.

Duct tape and WD40, his toolkit's embrace, In the dance of repairs, a father's grace. Superglue in hand, to mend what's apart, including cuts from our falls, Lessons in resilience, etched in my heart.

"Always finish what you start," he'd declare, A mantra of commitment, lingering in the air. In the driveway's echo, where memories unfold, Papi's persistence, a story forever told.

On the roof's lofty perch, an antenna's domain, Fixing signals, connecting us through joy and pain. High above, where the world seemed small, Papi's guidance, a steady voice, a comforting call.

Yard work, a canvas beneath the sun's warm glow, Laying bricks and pavement, a rhythm to know. In the soil, we planted dreams side by side, Papi's wisdom in each brick, a bond that won't hide.

Don't bring animals home," his refrain so clear, Yet, a parade of pets, each one held dear. A new dog, a cat, a hamster, a bird of all kinds against his stern plea, Love triumphed, creating a family so free.

In the summer's heat, a plea to conserve, "Don't waste water," his voice would observe. Lessons in stewardship, in each droplet's fall, Papi's care for the world, a lesson for all.

Ice cream truck melodies, a distant sweet chime, Papi's generosity echoed in each scoop's climb. Underneath the street's rhythmic beat, Love, like ice cream, a summertime treat.

Now, in the quiet moments, your whispers remain, In cars and antennas, in each enduring refrain. Through pavement and pets, in the summer's sweet hum, Papi, forever present, your love is the sum.
