Born on December 17, 1947 in Stockton, CA., Sandy passed away on October 12, 2009 in the comfort of her home. Surviving her are beloved husband, Brondon, and daughter, Alison, who were at her side as she succumbed to a hard fought battle with ovarian cancer. Raised by parents, Marlene and Pete Fuller, Sandy moved to Southern California as a young woman to complete her studies in Education at UCLA and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Sandy and Brondon met in 1977, married in 1981, had Alison in 1983, and moved into their current home in Manhattan Beach in 1984. Sandy was passionate about all things and poured herself into life. Foremost, she was a devoted wife and mother and nothing was more important to her than family. She had a tender and warm heart and the generosity she showed her loved ones knew no bounds. She was also a dedicated educator; a teacher at Peninsula High School for her entire working career of 36 years, focusing on biology for the last 3 decades. She loved life and environmental sciences and sharing the subject with young minds. And she, herself, was an eternal student who loved to learn and who studied the world with the delight of a child…a teacher and a student both. With a keen interest in politics she liked a fiery debate and seldom backed down from her liberal beliefs. She enjoyed traveling and the arts, and every trip included a stop at a museum. A true adventurer. With her spirited and vivacious energy, she will be remembered as a woman who loved to laugh and inspired jokes and smiles in those around her. The Service will be held at South Coast Botanical Gardens on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at 2:00 P.M.
