Sharon Ann Ernst 56, a resident of the South Bay for most of her life, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 in Torrance. Sharon was born in Rumford, Maine on December 27, 1945, and moved at the age of six to Torrance where she completed her education. She worked for TRW in Redondo Beach for 17 years, most recently as a manager. Sharon is survived by Husband, John Ernst of Torrance; Sons, Eric Thompson and Tim Thompson, both of Torrance; Brothers, Terry Clemons of Torrance and Tim Clemons of La Costa, CA; and Nieces, Kerri Clemons of Redondo Beach and Chrissy and Beth of La Costa, CA. Visitation will be Thursday, April 25, 2002 from 4 to 8 pm at White & Day Colonial Mortuary, 901 Torrance Blvd., Redondo Beach and a Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 26, 2002 at 1 pm at the same location. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
