Sharon Kay Foster

March 28, 1939 – October 17, 2011

Sharon Foster, affectionately known to her family as "Nana", passed away peacefully on October 17, 2011 surrounded by her family. As a 2004 lung transplant recipient from USC University Hospital she received her second wind and lived life with passion and devotion to her loving family. She dedicated much of her time and energy with the USC Lung Transplant Support Group assisting recipients and their families. Left to carry on her memory are daughter, Tammy Balteff (Chris), son Vincent Foster (Kelly) and her most cherished grandchildren, Shawn Balteff (Krystle), Natalie Balteff, Jacob Foster, Aaron Noriega and Kevin Noriega. Sharon Foster was the loving daughter of Wilbur and Eva Fief. Sharon's passion was her family. Her hobbies included gardening and music. One of her many extended families were the wonderful people of Rhino Records. As the Vice President of Human Resources, Sharon took great joy in the professional development of many young people. Her life will be celebrated 10am Sunday, October 30, 2011 at White and Day Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd, Torrance, CA 90503.
