

Sharon Louise Tedsen, who lived most of her life in the South Bay, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025 in Harbor City at the age of 81. Sharon was born on May 27, 1944 at Torrance Memorial Hospital and raised in what would later become the City of Carson.
Sharon worked for 30 years in retail, selling cosmetics and working at checkout, primarily for Stacey’s and then Sav-On drugstores, both in Carson. She enjoyed her work, cultivated community and friendship among her co-workers, and worked hard serving her customers. Sharon enjoyed gardening, quality time with friends in their “Stitch & Bitch” quilting group, and especially the company of her husband, Egon, whom she shared life with for forty years until his death in 2013. Sharon lovingly cared for her mother until she passed and delighted in helping care for her grandchildren.
Sharon is survived by five sons, Arthur (& Annette) Cox of Lakewood, CA; Michael (& Elizabeth) Tedsen of Lakewood, CA; Michael (& Mina) Cox of Torrance, CA; Christopher Tedsen of Buena Park, CA; and Ron (& Shelly) Cox of Newbury Park, CA; her daughter, Pam (& Joe) Tocco of Camp Verde, AZ; her 10 grandchildren: Anthony, Paul, Samuel, Andrew, Miranda, Jasmine, Joel, Jillian, Eliot, and KateLynn; and her sister, Linda. In addition to her beloved Egon, she was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Ella Marie Turgeon, and her four older brothers.
A private memorial service will be held off Redondo Beach.
