Sheri Lynn Wendel was born in Saginaw, Michigan on April 5th, 1958 to David and Carol DuBey. Sheri moved to Torrance, California with her family when she was 5 years old and remained a Torrance resident until her passing on December 5th, 2025.
She is survived by her two beautiful daughters, Shannon (James) and Robyn (Lewis), four amazing grandchildren; Matthew, DeJuan, Amanda, and Jacob, sister Libby (Marc) Rougeau, brothers Mark (Ivonne) and Jim (Ilene) DuBey, step brothers Scott and Bryan Langner, step sister Cris Langner, several nieces and nephews, step children; Andria, Kathy, and James, step grandchildren, and a beautiful step great granddaughter. She is preceded in death by her husband of almost 30 years, Larry Wendel, and parents.
Sheri loved all things nature; hummingbirds, butterflies, and mourning doves and had a garden amassed with several of each. Her true love was being surrounded by her family, who all love her endlessly and will miss her more than words can express.
