Shirley. I pray that you have gone to eternal peace. You changed my life. You enabled me to juggle work, motherhood and other responsibilities to pursue my training for Nurse Midwifery. It was you who encouraged me to forge toward when I had self doubts. It was you Shirley who cheered me on and told me to “take one step at a time”. 
I had a 20 year career as a Nurse Midwife because of you. I told you how grateful I was to you for you many years after you retired from Daniel Freeman. I loved receiving your annual family Christmas memories.
I will never forget you. It was YOU who made me a midwife. I couldn’t have done it without you. Much love and gratitude to you, always.

Always a smile. Always positive. Outstanding RN. Made people feel good about themselves. She left a beautiful legacy.
