Shirley J. Larson

Freed from the pain of a hard fought, four year battle with cancer, Shirley will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her.

Born in Kansas City, Missouri, February 2, 1943, Shirley was 61. Shirley worked in the Redondo Beach schools system until her retirement in 1999. She went on to graduate with honors in 2001 from El Camino College with an Associate degree as Legal Assistant.

In recent years Shirley's greatest love was being near her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her beloved husband Wayne of Torrance; son Andrew Marshall Larson of Manhattan Beach and daughter Jennifer Jean Larson (Mark Stine) of Las Vegas, NV; along with two grandchildren, Katherine Jean Stine, 3

and John Andrew Stine, 5 Months.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, November 13 at 1:00 P.M. at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd. in Torrance with Reception following in Rice's reception room.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Shirley's name to Torrance Memorial Hospital Healthcare Foundation, Women's Cancer Services
