Shirley A. Streit

SHIRLEY A. STREIT, of Torrance , passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2004. She was born Aug. 30, 1933 in Ashton, Iowa. Shirley Volunteered at the House of Yahweh for the homeless for 20 yrs. Survivors include her devoted Husband, Paul Streit, her children; Samuel Joseph Streit of Huntington Beach, Sallyanne Kincheloe of Huntington Beach, Thomas Anthony Streit of Torrance and Timothy Harrry Streit of Paso Robles. Also left to mourn her passing are her Sister, Ruth Elgersma of Laguna Nigel and seven loving grandchildren. Visitation will be on Monday, Feb. 9, 2004 from 4 PM to 8PM at WHITE & DAY COLONIAL MORTUARY CHAPEL, 901 W. Torrance Blvd. (at Prospect Ave.), Redondo Beach, CA. Rosary recitation will be the same evening at 7 PM at the same White & Day location. Celebration of Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004 at 9 AM at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 3846 W. Redondo Beach Blvd., Torrance, CA 90504. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The House of Yahweh or to The American Cancer Society in Shirley's memory.
