With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, Sidney Taione Lomu, who passed away on June 14, 2026, at the age of 48.
Sid was born on June 6, 1978, in Culver City, California. Throughout his life, he was known for his strength, generosity, unwavering faith, and fierce love for his family. He was the kind of man who could make people feel welcome wherever he went, offering kindness, humor, and support to anyone in need.
Sid built a successful career as a Superintendent with Direct AV, where he earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike through his strong work ethic, leadership, and dedication to excellence. He took great pride in his work and in providing for his family, always striving to do his best in everything he set out to accomplish.
Above all else, Sid’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Dona, and a loving father to his four children: Sidney Nicolas-Dean, Milika Analaine, Drake-Lucas, and Blaze Ifaleka. He celebrated their accomplishments, encouraged their dreams, and loved them with his whole heart. Every decision he made was rooted in his desire to care for and provide for those he loved most.
Sid faced life’s challenges with remarkable courage and determination. Even during his most difficult days, he continued to put his family first, showing strength, grace, and faith that inspired everyone around him. His love was constant, his presence reassuring, and his commitment to those he loved never wavered.
Those who knew Sid will remember his infectious smile, his generous spirit, his willingness to help others, and the way he brought people together. He leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, resilience, and faith that will continue to live on through his family and all whose lives he touched.
Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we take comfort in knowing that love does not end with death. The memories he created, the lessons he taught, and the love he shared will remain with us always.
Sid will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
He was our protector, our provider, our safe place, and our greatest blessing. His love will live on in our hearts forever.
