A much loved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, Song Bowen, 81, of Torrance, California, passed away on July 3, 2012, with his devoted family near. He bravely confronted and fought colon cancer starting June 2009.

Song Bowen was born to parents Song Man Soo and Song Baek Shee on May 24, 1931, in Seoul, Korea. Song has always been an example of poise and strength. I appreciated the gift of knowing Leslie's grandpa Song. What rich memories she has of his love throughout the years. I was honored to meet Mr. Bowen when my son Theo married Leslie. Mr. Bowen was welcoming to me and my daughter when we visited in California. He and his wife cooked the best salmon dinner I have ever eaten and shared it with us! I am grateful too that he was a wonderful role model of caring and love for Theo. May God bless and keep all of the family members as you grieve the loss of father and grandfather. Blessings,
