Soterios Sampras

Sam was born March 24, 1937, in Chicago, IL to parents Gust and Sarah Sampra.  He was a graduate of the University of Missouri, and worked many years as a civilian engineer for various government agencies, retiring from Aerospace Corporation in the 1990’s. Additionally, he helped establish a family restaurant in McLean, VA.  He and Georgia (Vroustouris) were married in 1965 in Washington, D.C. where they started their family, eventually moving to Palos Verdes, CA.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his sisters Marion and Georgia. He is survived by his wife Georgia Sampras; children Gus (Julie), Stella Sampras Webster (Steve), Pete (Bridgette), and Marion Sampras Hodges (Phil); grandchildren Olivia, Phil, Christian, Gabby, Sarah, Ryan, Sophia, Savannah, Samuel, and Andrew; as well as his brother Alexander Sampra.
