When I learned of your passing my heart felt heavy.  You were a kind and peaceful man.  I will miss you playing your piano.  I am so glad that I had the opportunity to have worked with you for the many years that we did.  When I think of you, I feel a smile in my heart.   You are loved Steven A. Fuller.

Because I live on the other side of the country, it's not unusual for Steve and I to go months without actually talking. We would shoot each other a text here and there and laugh at the times together when I lived in LA.  The last I heard from him was December 13th 9:40pm eastern.  I had no idea that anything was wrong but all I know now is my heart is broken.  We became friends in the late 80s and remained friends all this time.  We laughed and cried over the years.  He talked to me about his mother whom I was fortunate to know.  He also talked to me about countless friends and family that I never met but was just a silent sounding board.  I made sure to see him on my way to infrequent trips back to LA  if only for an hour.  Out of all the times, I will always remember the 1st time we met.  He consoled me during a difficult time and I stopped by his house and that's when I  learned he played the piano.  He played for me in the middle of the night in a pitch black room.  From that day on, I always associated Brenda Russell's song "Piano in the dark" with Steve and now I dedicate it to him. All my love and to the family, God give you peace and thank you for the gift of Steve.

Rest in Heavenly peace my dear Steven.  I will miss exchanging December birthday wishes with you.  You were such a kind, loving and compassionate person.  You will be missed.

I will forever remember Steven as a kind, gentle & giving man! Although he was very passionate about injustice, he still had an optimistic view of life.  Rest in peace & enjoy eternal life with the Father.

Great Uncle Steve, our last conversation was literally a week or two prior to your passing and I had expressed many thanks and respect for you. You had given me the strength to pick myself up in the midst of a very big storm and though losing you has seemed to add to that storm, I extend my love to the other side. I wish you favor, guidance, safety, and wisdom as you travel and find your way on this new journey. I’m so sorry that I couldn’t make it from Nevada...but I send nothing but positive vibes, peace, and blessings to you always!

Thank you Uncle Stevie for being so full of love & laughter. I will forever appreciate our talks about life. I’ll never forget the lecture you gave to my son (Shawn), and nephews Mekhi and Jamar. You spoke to them about the importance of taking life seriously and how musical instruments were a major factor in improving grades in school. I adored you for teaching my son how to play the piano while we lived with you and you were absolutely right about it improving his grades. Living with you was one of the best decisions for my son and I because you taught my son how to carry himself like a young man. If you washed dishes, he had to wash dishes too. Lol We will forever remember the happy memories we shared with you.

Never in my wildest imagination did I think that 2020 would be the end of your story on earth.  That said, I know God's timing is always perfect - which, sadly meant it was time for you to go home to Heaven. You have been a true and dear friend for over 5 decades!  What a blessing to have our friendship endure so long.  

There are not enough words to describe you  - CARING, GENEROURS, THOUGHTFUL, FUNNY, KIND, FORGIVING, HONEST, TALENTED, and so much more.

I was so saddened to hear of your passing! Although we had not seen each other for some time, you were always thought of often.  Shelia would keep me posted about how you were doing and would send you my greetings. I remember the day we met over 21 years ago in orientation.  Steve, I will miss you.  May you rest in peace...

December 16, 2020, my state of mind would be shaken without ANY warning.  This IS one of the nicest, warmest, friendliest, forgiving individuals you would want to meet.  His arms was open to welcome the world into his life no matter who or what you are; no matter what your flaws were, he embraced everyone.  He makes you want to protect him for some reason.  Steve wore his heart on his sleeve for all to see. I loved, appreciated,  and respected him.  I can say with a clear conscience i was a REAL friend to him & he was a REAL friend to me.  My wish for Steve was to have constant happiness in his life. I realized something days after he left us: "Steve was willing to almost do anything for people just to be loved in return"...that's all he wanted....LOVE... almost at any cost.  On December 16th, I put my hand on his shoulder and repeatedly said, "Steve, wake up"......sorry,  gone way too soon... too soon

My daughter and I enjoyed seeing you get up and walk on the stage to sing and dance the entire concert of “Kool Moe Dee”. That was some stamina you showed Uncle Stevie. I was happy to make you those key lime pies. 

BTW, I’ll always remember being a kid and you playing and joking with me while you made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for me. You had that contagious laugh then 😂

I will always remember Steve's kindness, such a big heart, craziness, sense of humor, talent to play the piano and especially his love to dance.  I guess to be completely honest, his at times, temper when it came to injustice.  We created so many fun memories together throughout the years with many friends.  We always made it a point to go see the new Tyler Perry movies, laughed through the entire movie while crunching on popcorn and slurping soda water.  Steve, I know you're now dancing with the Angels and starting some sort of political committee.  I pray that God bring peace and comfort to the Fuller family.

Steve told me in November how much he was looking forward to moving to Beaumont and spoke glowingly of his family in Beaumont.

My heart is so sad after learning of the passing of my dear colleague, Steve.  We worked together for many years and I will always remember his beautiful smile and optimistic outlook even under the most difficult circumstances.  Steve’s computer skills saved the day many times and I am so grateful for having the opportunity to work by his side over the years.  Rest In Peace dear friend, you will be missed.

My dear friend Steve, miss you already.  Been knowing Steven since our early 20s temping at Universal Studios in the legal department.  First gentleman I knew that owned a home at such a young age.  Always possessed a "can do" spirit.  I would go to Steven's parties and their would be an overwhelming amount of women.  Once, Steven had a party at Little J's where he was quite late in getting there, when he came over to the several tables of guests (which were all women), a cheer arose above the music playing because he had arrived.  Such a cheer, that others were like who is this guy with all these women.  He asked me two years straight to go to church with him and I always said "no!"  Then, one day I did go with him.  He picked me up, showed me where to park and we went in.  He did that for several Sundays.  I have been going ever since and that was 2016.  Loved his burst of laughter and sense of humor.  Politics?  Campaigned for Obama before even thinking Obama had a chance.  Great memories I hold for Steven.  May he rest in peace.

Steve, from the first time you helped me with my computer problems at LBBS, we had a bond.  Your laugh was so infectious, that was the one thing I loved hearing when talking to you.  Thank you for all the memories! May you rest in peace

Your love for my sisters Lynn, Lynette, Laconya and Me, truly was a close bond of unconditional love. No laps of time or distance ever broke the bond of love you had for us.  I want to publicly thank my uncle for showing us he cared no matter what my uncle would find us. He made sure we had a relationship with our grandparents.  He made sure my sisters and I knew our family history, he shared his love for the piano and his innovative ideas.  I loved talking to him and seeing how much we had in common. Uncle Steve lead by example.  He taught me how to take care and honor my Grandmother Ethel in her later years until her passing. I will miss our conversations and his contagious laughter.  I will never ask God why he allowed you to go so soon. However,  I thank and praise GOD for the love we shared.  I miss you, rest in peace my uncle you surly deserve it!  One thing for sure...I will see you again.

Hi my buddy Steve, my heart became deeply sadden when I heard of your passing.  How do I say good bye to a special gentleman? I was looking forward to our annual birthday celebration(12/27) greetings and chat. We both share the same birth date. You had such a kindhearted soul and loving spirit. Your dedication and  affectionate for your mom made you a very blessed and exceptional man.  As your co-worker at Lewis Brisbois, I always admired the way you would give your time and support to everyone in need and I am sure they will always be thankful to you. My Dearest Steve, I am lost for words right now!  I am still here trying to wrestle with my thoughts of your passing. Loved by everyone, You were  such a special and caring person. Also, thank you for your calls and support you showered me with, before my mother passed away. It was a blessing to have you in my life.  It was a great pleasure working with you and I enjoyed  every moment of our trainng sessions at Lewis Brisbois. Also, fellowishiping with me at Holman United Methodist Church ocassionally. These special memories of you will always bring a smile to my face. My sincere condolences to the family. We loved you but God loved you more.  You have earned your wings. We would have lunch together several days a week. I always admired how you took such good care of your mother and other family members. I was very sadden learning of Steve's passing.  Steve was a very unique individual, an excellent piano player as well as a person who was alway sharing and caring of others.  I highly admired Steve for taking great care of his mother until she was called home.  He and I had many conversations regarding life in general and music as we both were piano players.  For many years, Steve was a Uber driver during lunch time to some of his co-workers long before Uber and Lyft existed.

Although I hadn't seen Steve in a number of years, I have many fond memories of working with him at Lewis Brisbois. He was kind, friendly and very patient. Steve I never thought I would be writing this especially about you but here goes....
You and I met and became friends while working at Lewis Brisbois some 19 years ago and remained best friends until your death.  I will never forget your humor and your love for music.  I remember the first time you invited me and another friend, Shelly to your home where you played your piano for us.  I was so astounded to see you play so well like you did.  You continued to showcase your talent by way of giving back to your community by teaching piano to the neighbor youth.  Your passion for Politics and the way you loved on people especially your mom was very nice to see.  I will never forget you introducing my cousin and I to fried pickles which she talks about until this day.  Now I have lost both you and Don who were so much like family to me.
