Tara Mykl McCollough

Tara McCollough, a 13 year resident of Hermosa Beach, passed away on Monday, January 1st, 2007, in Hermosa Beach. Born in Glendale, California, Tara was 28 days short of her 21st birthday when she died. Tara was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Redondo Beach. She graduated from Redondo Shores High School in June 2004, and then attended El Camino Community College. Tara was an extremely artistic and creative person, however, changed her major from Art and Fashion Design to Psychology and Mathematics. Tara was a "mother" to her cat, Lennon, a mighty Chihuahua, Minnie, a rescued Greyhound named GG, and her rat, Frances. Tara was passionate about her art, mathematics, designing and sewing the majority of her clothes, all Holidays especially Halloween, her priceless, stunning vintage wardrobe, and Rock & Roll!

She is survived by Mother, Mari Hudson of Hermosa Beach, CA, father, Mike McCollough of Hawthorne, CA, and her Brother, Elliott Schontzler of Culver City, CA. A gathering of family and friends will be held at White and Day Manhattan Beach Chapel on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 from 4 - 8 pm. The Service will also be held at White and Day Manhattan Beach on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Pacific Crest Cemetery in Redondo Beach.
