My most beloved friends (family), I am truly blessed that you shared your Mom/Omi with me for all these years.  She is greatly missed and it is as if it  were just yesterday I was hearing her laugh.  I have the most amazing memories of us Charlotte, right out of High School, over at your house and my other Mother watching us leave  to go hang out.  She always knew I would get you home safe and I still feel honored to this day.  My other Mother is in my thoughts and you all are in my prayers.

I enjoyed listening to my Omi's childhood stories about Germany and her family and friends. They were always interesting because they lived a lot differently then we since they were poor and lived on a small farm. She always came over for all the holidays, with Christmas and the Fourth of July being the most memorable.  For Christmas she always cooked the meal and we always shared laughs while opening the presents. Omi came over at Christmas with presents and would say to me, "Oh, look what Santa left for you at my house!"  Then when all the presents were opened she would always say, "Jennalee, did you like what Omi got you?" I always looked at her with a very confused look and said "I thought these were from Santa?"  Then Omi would laugh and say "Oh yeah, that's right!!". At Fourth of July she loved lighting sparklers.  Sometimes Omi loved them a little too much that it was hard to pull her away...July 4, 2012, she almost caught her sweatshirt sleeves on fire holding sparklers in both hands.  She never had a bigger smile on her face!  She did a lot of things for me over the years and I'm glad she lived right around the block so that I could see her often.  She will me missed because she was loved by many.

My dear Mommy,
I want to thank you for being my wonderful mother with truly unconditional love. I know that I'm blessed to have had you for all these years and with all your love, help and good advice. While I was growing up, you always told me that I was #1 in your life.  You raised me feeling safe and secure with you, even during our difficult times when we lost daddy in 1966, when I was only 7 years old. You always said that the two of us would stick together even if we had to move to a one room apartment. You would never leave me. I use to look out the window for you to come home from work every night.  
When daddy died, I know you prayed every night that you would live long enough to see me grow up and know that I would be able to care for myself. I feel that the Lord blessed us with the icing on the cake. You were able to not only see me grow up and marry Wally, graduate from college, but also to be able to be a special part of our family caring for Jenna and to see her grow up to be the lovely young lady she has become.  I'll never forget the way you looked at Jenna in the nursery the night she was born.  You were so elated to see your granddaughter. You said she looked like your Mama. 
You helped us so much so many times when Jenna was too sick to go to school and I'd call you first thing in the morning and you'd say “Sure, bring Babelee over.”  You called her your sunshine and that was your special song with Jenna. When she was in preschool she loved going to your house because you spent the entire day playing with her (having done all your chores beforehand even the cream of wheat was on the stove as she arrived) and doing everything she wanted to do.  Jenna told me she was going to the “Fun House.” You were a wonderful playmate that never said no!
It was wonderful sharing our Jenna for the last 16 years.  I want to tell you that Jenna is still doing so well in school and is maintaining her 4.17 grade point average and is on the Principal's Honor Roll every semester.  You were always so proud of her and rightfully so.  She is a good girl and has wonderful friends.  
I truly hope that you are happy which you so deserve. I'm sure you have a lot to catch up on with daddy, Eddie and Irene and the rest of our family and friends that have gone on before you. 
People tell me that you had a long life and that you are in a better place now.  I hope you are, but the selfish part of me wants you to be here with me. Losing you is the hardest thing I've ever had to face.  I love and miss you so much that words can't express my pain.  So many times I reach for the phone to call you and then realize I can't do that after a lifetime of talking to you several times a day and being able to go see you whenever we wanted to visit.  Funny thing, when I want to call you and realize I can't, I feel that I hear your voice telling me what you would have said to me. Going to your house is so hard because I feel that I should see you there and I can't (even though I'm sure you are there with me). I'm so grateful that you lived around the corner from us for 20 years.
Crystal, your “Heartzelee” is my little Babelee now and she is darling.  I know how much you loved that little girl and I am continuing with that love for her.  She enjoys playing with Riley and, of course, gets on his nerves.  She is the happiest little doggy I've ever seen.  She wags her tail all the time, even when she's in trouble.  I love our little dumpling and she still loves my smooches!  
We have wonderful friends that have helped us get through this tough time.  You always said that Lisa is the best friend that I could ever have and I so agree with you.  I'm sure you know that she was there with me when you had your stroke and spent the night with me at the hospital in your room.  She was there and showed you love, held your hand and talked to you, as did we, when you went to be with Jesus. She is your second daughter and loved you very much.
I hope that you were happy with your funeral service.  You looked absolutely beautiful and the service was nice.  I feel you'd be happy with the service.
I now really understand how truly brave you were in your life.  With all the losses you had to endure, especially the loss of my father when you had such a young child, were without a job and English was your second language.  It now really amazes me.  I don't know how you managed, but you did (we did).  You set an example that I need to follow.  I have to realize life goes on and you have to make the best of it one day at a time.
Looking at all of the pictures preparing for your service, I remembered you saying that you were never pretty.  I wholeheartedly disagree!  You were very beautiful inside and out.  I wish I had told you that more.
Holidays will never be the same, especially the 4th of July with you enjoying your sparklers.
I want to see you, talk to you and hug you. I miss you so much it hurts.  A part of my heart went with you.  I hope you know how much I loved you.  I tried my very best to be a good daughter to you and help where I could.  I truly did my best.
My love for you will never end and I'll miss you every day of my life.  I know that you would tell me to stop grieving and move on.  I have Wally and Jenna to think about and what a wonderful family I have….I just want you here too.
Mommy, I will always love and miss you and forever be grateful for the love, pride and guidance you gave to Jenna and me.

   My heart goes out to you all. Theresa's celebration of life ceromony was one of the most beautiful I've attended. It was clear Theresa loved the Lord passionately along with the same passion for her family. I'm reminded of a song called "You wouldn't cry" by Mandisa. The lyrics say somthing like; 'you wouldn't cry for me now because you know that I am with Our Father and that Our Father is with you'.
I believe God is holding you all and that Theresa is right there with Him in a group hug with you all.
Charlotte, you have your mothers qualities of kindness, giver, hospitality and love for God. Your Mother left a wonderful legacy in you. One day you will smile and laugh again with her memories.
