Thomas Michael Garcia

Tommy is survived by his father, Jesse, his mother Mary, his brothers, Jesse, David and Kenneth and his sisters, Dianne and Victoria. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that he considered family.

Tom was raised in Torrance and Lomita, California. Growing up he loved spending time with his brothers and sisters, camping, fishing, collecting Hot Wheels, riding dirt bikes and playing baseball.

Tommy was retired from the City of Torrance and made many friends over his years spent there. He was a proud Raiders fan and had many hobbies - restoring bikes, building and racing RC cars and ‘yard sale’ing are the first that come to mind. Tom was generous and outgoing and loved his great big family. He always had a smile, a joke, or a big loud “What’s up?” waiting for you. When he arrived at a party - you knew he was there!

Tom passed away surrounded by family on February 16, 2024. He was taken too soon and we all feel this huge loss, but we have to trust that he is no longer suffering and being a man of faith, we know he is resting in heaven.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
