Victoria C. Marquez

Victoria was born in Oxnard, CA on November 7, 1952 and has resided in the Los Angeles area for the last 45 years. She worked for Kaiser Permanente as a Pediatric Nurse for 26 years.

Devoted to her family and friends, Victoria's interests included arts and crafts, shopping, and collecting Barbie dolls. In addition to enjoying music and movies, Victoria was a Boxing fan.

Victoria is survived by her husband Joe R. Torres; daughters Christina Garcia, Breanna Torres, and Christina Elea Guzman; sons Joseph, Robert, and John Torres; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brothers Luis, David, and Eddie Marquez; sisters Rosie Marquez and Rita Vallejo; and 13 nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Luis Marquez; mother, Nellie Marquez; and her grandmother Rita Fajardo.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday March 16, 2010 at 7:00 pm at McMillan and McCormick Mortuary in Gardena, CA. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 in the city of her birth, Oxnard, CA. Burial will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery in Oxnard on "H" Street.
