Vincent D. Lopez, a life-long resident of Torrance, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2013. Born in Los Angeles, CA, Vincent was 88 when he died. Vincent had served in the Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1946. He was a proud member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 12. Vincent is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carmen Lopez; daughter Marie Lamb (Chuck) of Manhattan Beach; son, Thomas Lopez of Lakewood and son, David Lopez of San Pedro; grandchildren Trisha Marcinko, Tommy Lopez, Tracey Parker and Chelsea Lam; great-grandchildren Haylie and Brynn Parker; brother Charlie Lopez and sisters Julia White and Maxine Lopez. He was preceded in death by parents, Aniceto and Refugia Lopez; brothers John, Joe and Bob Lopez and sister Anna Lopez. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VITAS Community Connection, c/o VITAS Innovative Hospice Care. The Service will be held at Rice- Mortuary on Thursday January 24, 2013 at 10:00 am with a reception following until 1:00 pm. Burial will be private.
