Dear Family -      Bob knew Ginny when she worked at Madrona Marsh and Thelma was a friend from Torrance Civic Choral.  Ginny was a great friend and we will both miss her greatly.  I visited her in the hospital many times and called her weekly to try to lift her spirits.  It was hard to see her suffer the pain related to her disease and know she is in a better place now. I have known Virgina (Ginny) for many years.  The world is definitely a lessor place without her.  I will always have fond memories of her and I am sure she will put a smile on faces where she is now.  We will all see her again someday.  My condolences to her daughters Terry and Vicki for their loss.

Ginny has always been a cheerful and inspiring woman to talk with as the years have passed and we have all grown up more - even being beat by her in tennis wasn't bad as she was always so gracious and compassionate to others - a kindness that is so rare to find in others today - thankfully her daughters inherited these qualities!

I knew Ginny briefly about 30  years ago when my sister , Marilyn Kenney lived on Via Fernandez.  Ginny was always upbeat and fun.   Joanne

Your mom is forever in my memory from a production she put on at Montemalega, sometime in mid 1970's.  Someone snapped a picture of us after the performance and it made it into the year book.  Everytime I see that picture I think of what a great time we had and how special she made me feel.  My condolences go out to the family.  I will honor Ginny and her fight with cancer by setting out a luminary at the Beaverton Relay for Life each year.

Ginny was such a special, energetic lady!  I met her singing in the Chorale, then found she volunteered at Torrance Memorial, where I work, and ran into her at Rite Aid frequently while she stocked the cards.  I would see her everywhere!  She was such an inspiration, being adorable, curious, clever, and funny.  She also had a knack for making comments just above a whisper that left me wondering, "Did she just say that?"  She was hilarious. Her family was her pride and joy, and we loved seeing her pictures as her family grew.  What a wonderful legacy!

Dear Terry & Vicki & Family ~    Gosh, my eye balls are still floating from viewing the video. I already knew your Mom was a knock out !!! Seeing pictures of her in her younger days only confirmed why! I had the pleasure of getting to know her and be known by her when I was roommates with Terry for 5 years plus. As I said to you Terry the other day, my Mom had just been asking about you and your Mom, and saying how good you all were to me when I lived with you. I was blessed with an awesome roommate, and then came Vicki and your Mom. Your Mom could light up any dark room! and then some ! Her smile, her passion for life and loving others. Her adventuresome spirit that made you want to be more, and be around her. She was an e-ticket. Her intentional interest and questions to know ones heart. I am sure Heaven is stirred up with her present, and she will be no doubt making sure Gods covering is over you both! I am grateful that I see her so much in the two of you, your hearts, laughter, humor, your sense of adventure, passion for life and loving those near you deeply. Your Mom still rocks !!!! Our deepest sympathy and love to the family.  Our memories of Ginny are of a fun loving terrific lady. Terry and Vicky you were lucky to have such a wonderful mom and she was lucky to have such wonderful daughters.   We will remember her always.

To Ginny's Wonderful Family,     All of you were awesome today in your beautiful tributes to your mother, both at the church & at the reception. The church service was very comforting and lovely. I'm grateful to have  met the caring friends and family of sweet Ginny. She has to be so proud of how much love was shown.  Her memory will continue to live on.

To Ginny's Family,      Ginny  will be sorely missed by all of us fellow American Greetings merchandisers whose lives she touched by just being her spunky, youthful, and funny self. She will always be one of my inspirations to live life to the fullest. I know her sweet mother, Stephania, welcomed her with open arms when she left this world and entered into another. I first met Ginny at the the tennis courts in Redondo Beach twelve years ago when I first started playing there.  There were a lot of new people for me to meet but this one lady stood out.  She seemed to be flirting with me, paying me compliments, teasingly suggesting I take her to dinner and one day, when her birthday was coming around, she playfully asked if I was going to get her something.  OK.  I took the bait.  I got her a token gift.  (A sun visor which some women players use)As it turned out, she exchanged the sun visor for a pair of tennis socks but made sure I was aware when she was wearing them.  After that, we just started doing things together: movies, shows,trips etc.  One problem for me:  she was so darn busy with activities that were scheduled weeks in advance, that I couldn't always be with her as much as I wanted.  I was so thankful that I got to meet her immediate family, especially daughters Terri and Vicki.  She got to know my son, Gary.  And even when I wasn't able to reach her by phone, because of her activities, I would be carrying on conversations with her in my head, which I do even today, even tho she's gone.  She was my confidante, she was my friend in need, and I miss her so very, very much.
