Walter Bast passed away peacefully from life on Saturday January 16, 2021 at 1342 following a lengthy health decline. Walter was surrounded and supported by his daughter C'Dale Golovine and granddaughter Denise Oxley with the Vitas Hospice team during the last days of his life. Walter was born in New York, New York on August 5, 1931 and was an Army veteran who served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War . Walter later married the love of his life Bonnie Lee Sheets of Rochester, Indiana and spent forty eight years of marriage happily before the passing of Bonnie in 2007. Walter was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Lee, his parents Walter Karl and Anna Helen Bast, and his beloved sister MaryAnne Burns. Walter is survived by his three children C'Dale Golovine, Terry and Mary Ashmead and Gay Blodgett, many grand and great grand children, nieces and nephews and friends.
