William George Binckley

Bill graduated from Claremont High School and then attended Santa Clara University where he received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. While studying at Santa Clara University, he married Sue Beatty, and they had three children, David, Karen, and Stephen.

For many years, up until retirement, Bill worked at TRW as an aerospace engineer. While there, he met and married Barbara Mure, and they had two children, Eric and Theresa.

Bill enjoyed backpacking, listening to jazz, watching just about any sport, and spending time with family and friends. He was also a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. James Catholic Church in Redondo Beach, CA , where he lived for more than fifty years.

Bill is survived by his sister, Theresa Byrne; son, David Binckley and his wife, Robin; son, Eric Binckley; daughter, Theresa Stewart and her husband, Jason; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Basil Binckley; brother, Basil Binckley and his wife, Sally; brother, Jim Binckley and his wife, Polly; brother-in-law, Richard “Dick” Byrne; first wife, Sue Beatty; second wife, Barbara Binckley; daughter, Karen Kennedy; and son, Stephen Binckley.
