
Born in Albany, NY and resident of Redondo Beach, CA for the past 8 years, passed away on Thursday, July 1 at the age of 55 after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Bill is survived by his wife of 28 years, Donna; son, Conor; parents, Peter and Mary; brother, Neil, sister, Kim; his mother-in-law, Jean; his sister-in-law, Gail (Lawrence); brother-in-law, Bruce; nieces and nephews (Deirdre, Shawn, Alex, Kristen, Danielle); aunts (Kathleen, Margaret, Lily, Theresa, Bernadette, Hilda, Helen); uncles (Michael (Ireland), Don, Chester); many loving cousins and their families. He is also survived by his cherished friends (Ann Lee, Patti and Ray Duffy).
His was a life devoted to family, career and friends. He was respected by everyone who knew him. He graduated from Siena College and went on to attain an MBA in Finance and Banking from New York University. He was part of the aerospace profession and was employed at Northrop Grumman Corporation for 33 years. Over the span of his career at NGC, Bill worked at the company's facilities in Bethpage, NY, Jacksonville, FL, Irving, TX and El Segundo, CA. At the culmination of his career, he held the position of Director, Government Accounting and Financial Relations at the Corporate Office in Century City. Bill will always be remembered in our hearts for his infectious laugh, his passion for his family, love of tennis, scuba diving, water skiing, and the Wall Street Journal.
Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, July 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd., Torrance, CA. Reception to follow in Rice's Lighthouse Reception Room from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated, in Bill's honor, at St. Lawrence Martyr Roman Catholic Church, 1900 Prospect Avenue, Redondo Beach, CA, on Friday, August 20 at 10:00 a.m.
