Kerry and Hannah,   I am so sorry to hear of Bill\'s passing.  I will always remember his great smile and kindness.  I was shocked when I heard about the plane crash and really crushed when Pat Cardone told me it was Bill.  I think it is wonderful that your daughter, Hannah, was included in everything. Dear Kathy, Mike & Steve,    I am so sorry for your loss, I saw the accident on the news and immediately knew it had to be him. We lived next door to you in Canoga Park, and I was your babysitter. One funny memeory I have of yours and my dad was when Bill started flying to Japan. Your dad brought back one of the first Habachi\'s, and he gave it to my dad, and they wanted to start a Habachi business. The only problem....the Habachis weighed about two hundred pounds and were VERY bulky! They both got a big laugh about their potential business. Your parents were great, and your dad was always a great tipper, after I sat for you three. It would be great to hear from you, once again I\'m very sorry about the sudden loss of your dad. Dear Kathy, Michael & Steven,       I am so sorry to hear you lost your Father on Saturday.  I am Bonnie Bell, a former neighbor and baby sitter from the Natalie Lane neighborhood.       My fond memory was the day your Dad took the three of you, and my sister, Candy and I to LAX for a behind the scenes look at fight operations at TWA.  It was probably old hat to you three, but it sparked my interest in flighing.       No I never got my pilots license but I married a guy who was a pilot, (recreational), we had a son, our only child who does fly for a living. He is Captain Eric Iverson at the commuter line SkyWest. This direction in my life and my son\'s was quite possibly a result of that day with you three and your Dad at LAX.      He was a nice guy and a good neighbor.  My deep regards. Some guys â€œmake it look easyâ€, and bring happiness to this world.      One such personâ€™s life was celebrated two days ago, here in the Los Angeles area.  His name is Bill Zesiger, a retired TWA and military pilot.  The chapel was overflowing with those whose lives he had touched during his time on earth.  We lost him doing what he had enjoyed most of his life, flying.  This time it was an experimental airplane.      Although it was my great pleasure to often fly with Bill, there were many accomplishments in his past, which were not known, prior to the Memorial service.  This is not because we did not converse with one another while flying, but just the contrary.  The conversation never seemed to get around to our past.  We were having too much fun, flying and laughing and smoking cigars and enjoying our great good fortune of â€œthe presentâ€.      Someone had mentioned that Bill ran the military operations at the Van Nuys airport.  (He never mentioned that.)   He never mentioned the fact that he flew fighters in combat during the Vietnam War.  We just flew the 880, and he flew picture perfect legs every time.  Often I would look at Bill after he slicked that sucker on and say; â€œBill, you sure make it look EASYâ€.  He would look at me and very seriously say: â€œIt is easyâ€.  And then he would laugh and I would laugh.  At that point, we would â€œflipâ€ to see who would get the weather and who had to go buy some more cigars.      Bill never mentioned the years he spent teaching fighter pilots for the Air Force. The one thing he often mentioned was how much he enjoyed flying for TWA.      If this man could have twirled a lariat, he would have been a modern day Will Rogers.  He brought a lot of happiness to our World, and now, a few tears.         Randy Kramer

Although we only knew Bill for 3 months, the memory of his good nature and his smile will remain with us forever.  His presence was felt the minute he entered the room, always pleasant and smiling.  We enjoyed the opportunity to have him in rehab and we will miss him.
