
Yolanda “YO†Pauline Duran, 62, passed away peacefully at home in Signal Hill, CA on Tuesday, October 4, 2011. She was born November 15, 1948 in Richmond, CA to Nestor and Emma Duran. Yolanda was retired after working 40 years in the accounting field. Even though she lived most of her life in the San Francisco Bay Area, her home away from home was the South Bay/Redondo Beach Area. She enjoyed Friday dinners at the Moose Lodge in El Segundo where she was a member. She loved to people watch, spend time with family and friends, always game for a good laugh and a simply having a good time. She is preceded in death by her parents, Nestor (April 2008) and Emma (November 2004) Duran and the love of her life Barry Blough (March 1983). She is survived by son, John Hernandez and wife Bertha; daughter, Yvonne Hernandez-Buchko and husband Steven; grandchildren, Christine Hernandez, Johnny Hernandez and Priscilla Hernandez, Kenner Lopez Jr., Samantha Russell and Isabella Lopez; great grandchildren Evelyn Rose and Robert Christopher; sister, Yvette Rodriguez; nephews Ruben and Ron Rodriguez; uncle Richard; and many more family members and friends. A gathering of family and friends will be held at White and Day Colonial Mortuary on Monday, October 17, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Burial will be private.
