

Arlene Rose Hansen, age 83, of Traverse City passed away peacefully Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Munson Medical Center. She was born December 28, 1929 in Traverse City to Rudolph and Sylvia (Hentschel) Moldenhauer.
On September 17, 1951 she married Donald Hansen. Together they raised 4 children.
Arlene loved nothing more than being a stay at home mother and grandmother. They were priority one to her, and as grandchildren came along they became the highlight of her life. In her spare time she loved going to the casino, playing cards, and puzzles.
Arlene is survived by her loving husband Donald of over 60 years; children: Bonnie (Kurt) Habrecht, Daniel (Meredith) Hansen, Bruce (Christine) Hansen, and Lori (Steven) Randell; 13 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her siblings: Evie Powell, Ray Moldenhauer, Laurine Brow, Pete and Marvin Moldenhauer, 2 infant sisters, one infant brother, a grandson Jeremy Hansen, and a great grandson Avery Kimbrell.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the Covell Funeral Home in Traverse City from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral will be held Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Living God, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Covell Funeral Home of Traverse City.
