Bonnie Jean Dalgleish

Bonnie Jean (Dalgleish) Gugin passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Munson Medical Center, Traverse City MI. Bonnie was born July 9, 1956 in Flint, MI the daughter of Julian R. McLanahan and Beverly Jean Hatfield (Banks). Bonnie’s mother Beverly married Harold Hatfield, in 1962 and moved the family to Sault Ste. Marie MI in 1967. Bonnie graduated from Sault Area High School in 1974. She married John Dalgleish and had 4 children, Todd, Nicholas, Jennifer, and Timothy. In 1994 she married David Gugin and together had 1 son, Kraig. Bonnie was a member of the local chapter of the Mount Pleasant Eagles Club #4463 where she served as an officer in the Ladies Auxiliary in the past. She and Dave volunteered many hours in support of the club and she was known to many of the members simply as “Yooper”. Bonnie was a pet lover and had many cherished animals over the years. She enjoyed making home crafts including candles, wreaths, and other holiday ornaments. Christmas was her favorite time of year. She was a homemaker, loved to garden, volunteered for many events at the Eagles club, and worked at several businesses in the Mount Pleasant area. She loved spending time with friends and family.

Bonnie is survived by her husband David, daughter Jennifer Sivo; Sons, Todd Dalgleish, Nicholas Dalgleish, Timothy (Klara) Dalgleish, Kraig Gugin, step-daughters Tracy (Bryan) Sowel, Leigh Ann Gugin, Trisha Gugin; sister Liz Hatfield; brothers Tim (Rose) Hatfield and Chuck (Jennifer Roy) Hatfield; Also survived by aunts Dorothy Banks and Beverly Banks and 16 grandchildren.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents Julian McLanahan, and Harold and Beverly Hatfield. Uncles, Bob Banks, Chuck Banks, and Graham Banks.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday March 18, 2018 at Mount Pleasant #4463 Eagles Club, 1440 S Isabella Rd, Mt Pleasant, MI 48858.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Covell Funeral Home of Traverse City.
