

Dolores was born in Hannah on March 10, 1927 at the home of her parents, Adam and Emma (Homrich) Wolf. On October 28, 1944 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hannah, she entered into a 58 year marriage with Tony Friauff until his death on May 24, 2003.
Dolores was employed by the Traverse City State hospital as an LPN from 1949 until her retirement in 1979. She also was proud to work on elections for Grand Traverse County.
Dolores enjoyed gardening, playing bingo and going to the casinos to play slot machines. She also was an artist when it came to knitting, embroidering and crocheting. Her most beautiful project was a quilt she embroidered with the flowers of all 50 states and it will be displayed at her funeral. Most of all she loved her daughters, grandchildren and great grand daughter. She would light the room with her smile whenever they visited.
Dolores is survived by her daughters, Carol (Norman) Schaub of Cedar and Deborah Friauff of Ann Arbor, a grandson, Adam (Wendy) Schaub of Traverse City, Emma Thompson of Ann Arbor and Olivia Tikker of Ann Arbor, and great-grandaughter, Scarlett Schaub of Traverse City. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Blanche Urban of Traverse City and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Bernard and Raymond and her sister Matilda McKittrick.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 27 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Covell Funeral Home in Traverse City. Funeral Services will be held, Monday 11:00 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church. The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until the service. Burial will take place at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
