

Born June 26, 1920, Harry was the loving husband of 67 years to Dorothy. World War II veteran in the Army, he was awarded the purple heart of courage for his service.
Harry’s career was with Ford Motor Company, retiring in 1979 to northern Michigan.
Family meant everything to him. Family and friends loved spending time with Harry. His dry witty sense of humor was enjoyed by all. Harry, ”Mr. Fix It”, was known for his ability to fix most anything mechanical and then some.
Harry is survived by his beloved daughter, Joanne DeMeyere his grand-daughters, Carolyn (Jason) Miller, Kathryn DeMeyere, and Alena (Anthony) Adair; his great-grandchildren, Drew and Matthew Miller, Harlan and Carter Agustin, Braylin and Sawyer Adair; sisters, Dorothy Schmidt, Marie Campbell and Estella Turney.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy; three sisters and one brother.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Traverse City. Visitation is one hour prior to service.
Arrangements were entrusted to Covell Funeral Home of Traverse City.
