Jo Ann Ulrich

Jo Ann Virginia Ulrich, age 80 of Traverse City, formerly of Bay City, died July 31, 2011. Jo Ann was born October 31, 1930 in Bay City, the daughter of William and Rose Bovin. She married Donald Charles Ulrich on November 12, 1949 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bay City. She was the organist at St. James Catholic Church in Bay City for over 30 years. Jo Ann loved reading, cross stitch and especially playing piano for her retirement community at The Village of Bay Ridge, where she hosted the sing-a –longs on Wednesdays. She also was an avid baker and made the best pie crust! Surviving are her six children, Amy Jo Ulrich (Tim Moore) of Haddam, CT, Patti Ann Ulrich of Brighton, Molly Sue (Michael) Fleming of Jackson, Paul Donald (Mary) Ulrich of Fenton, Robert William (Lisa) Ulrich of Traverse City and James Donald (Susan) Ulrich of Kingsley. Eleven grandchildren, Heather (T.J) Nagorsen of Saginaw, Timothy Adams of South Lyon, Sarah Lentz of Hartford, CT, Laura Lentz of East Hartford, CT, Nikki Ulrich of Fenton, Megan Ulrich of Fenton, Kristin Ulrich of Traverse City, Kyle Ulrich of Traverse City, Michelle Fleming of Ann Arbor, Thomas Fleming of Jackson and her newest grandson Alexander Ulrich of Kingsley. Preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband. Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2011 – 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church in Traverse City. The family requests that any memorial contributions be made to a charity of the giver's choice.
