With a beautiful winter storm as a backdrop, Ralph Sorensen, age 85, passed peacefully Saturday December 12 at 7:23 p.m. with his wife and daughter holding him and wishing him safe travels. Ralph was a great conversationalist who told wild tales of his youth and loved talking with everyone he met. He loved to spend long hours with his grandchildren drawing mazes but was most famous for his Woozlebird stories, which always had a moral message of bravery and understanding. He provided many with solace and comfort during their hours of greatest need and was adored by those who knew him. His favorite job was with the Diocese of Gaylord under Bishop Rose, who he loved like a father. Ralph leaves behind his wife, Denise Sorensen, daughter Christina Adams, sons Gerald (Shannon) and James Sorensen and his beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends, who will miss him dearly.
