Sally E Anderson

Sally E. Anderson, age 81, of Traverse City passed away peacefully at home with her family at her side, Thursday, October 16, 2014. She was born April 23, 1933 in Traverse City to Edward and Alice (Eckerdt) Purvis.

Sally graduated from Traverse City Central High School in 1950. She married the late Gustave Anderson on February 19, 1955. Together they raised 2 sons.

Sally and Gus lived out on Old Mission for over 50 years. Sally enjoyed reading, crocheting, computer games, and watching jeopardy and wheel of fortune.

Sally is survived by her son: Sanford (Tracey) Anderson of Traverse City; 2 grandsons: Eric Sanford and Matthew John Anderson of Traverse City; a sister Esther Hoag of Traverse City and 2 brothers Roy Purvis and Ray (Bethel) Purvis both of Traverse City.

Besides her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her husband and son Carl Edward Anderson.

Per her wishes cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest at Oakwood City Cemetery between her husband and son.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Covell Funeral Home of Traverse City.
