Sharon L. Cole

On December 9, 1948 Sharon arrived in our family, a beloved gift, divinely fashioned together in a most special way. She blessed our family with her loving ways until she was gathered into the loving arms of the Great Physician January 18,2017, who made her whole again.

Sharon was born in Traverse City and lived her life between there and Elk Rapids. She was born to Robert and Betty (McLain) Cole who proceeded her in death along with Margaret (Waldeck) Cole.

She worked several years at Grand Traverse Industries and in leisure time enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, coloring and the challenge of some of the largest and most difficult puzzles.

Sharon is survived by her siblings: Ben and Paula (Cole-Bliss) Koenig of Florida, Robert and Susan George of Pierson, Mi, Barry Cole , Eric Todd and Janice Cole of Cadillac, and Jeff and Becky (Cole) Laeder of Port Huron. She also Leaves behind 7 nieces and nephews, along with 9 great nieces and nephews.

Words can not express the gratitude due Brian and Mary Patterson and the Kennedy House for their loving care of Sharon in the years since the passing of her parents.

A graveside service was held Friday May 5 at 1:00 at Maple Grove Cemetary, Elk Rapids. Memorials were made to Special Olympics or The National Down Syndrome Society of West Michigan.

Arrangements were entrusted to Covell Funeral Home, Traverse City, Michigan.
